Saturday's Critters #142

Saturday's Critters #142

Happy Labor Day weekend!

Happy Saturday, it's time to share your critters and post. Any kind of critter will do, even a new or old post.. I appreciate everyone who is linking in with this week's critter party.

On August 23rd hubby and I went on a daytrip to Bombay Hook NWR in Delaware. It was an Egret day, the egrets seem to be gathering before migrating south.

Great Egret with a Great Blue Heron. I will be sharing more photos and Egrets on my next post.

As always thanks for the visits and the nice comments. I also thank everyone who is linking up and sharing their critters.. Happy Saturday, have a great weekend!

  6. Great Egret photos Eileen. We get a lot of them around here. I was out in the country today & saw plenty of them hanging out with their cattle friends but each time as I approached the sound of my motorcycle would scare them away.

  12. Dearest Eileen,
good morning to you and thank you for hosting me, actually I didn't remember that in this recent post of mine I had a few shots with my beloved creatures :) !!!

I so love Heirons, on our river are living so many Blue Heirons and some Storks, we can watch them better during the coldest months of the year, but they're so gorgeous to see in flight !

Thank you for another stunning post of yours and for hosting me today, dearie, wishing you all my best for your coming weekend

    Xx Dany

  15. Nice images of the egrets and herons! The water level in our local wetlands is so high that it discourages wading birds. I am actually seeing more of them in my back yard lake than out in the wild. The tropical storm is partly to blame. Now it has moved up your way.

  16. We don't get Egrets or Herons here but up north I think there are many in the swamps of the Northern Territory.

  17. I can't believe how fast the summer went and that birds are now gathering for the big trip south. I've already had blackbird flocks and Robins going through here. Won't be long now.....and though I know you aren't keen on winter coming, I have to say "Oh Yes!"
    Have a great weekend, Eileen

  38. Hi Y'all!

Wading birds are a favorite...perhaps because when we are in the low country their croakin' call wakes us in the mornin'.
