My World

I am linking up with   Mosaic Monday and Our World Tuesday   They are both fun memes to participate in...I hope you can join in with the fun  and check out some of the participating posts.

March 8th.....Happy International Women's Day!!

These are some scenes and images from my world during the past week.  It has been a cold snowy week. The last snow storm gave us about 6 more inches of snow..Luckily one of our neighbors help hubby plow our driveway.. We have great neighbors. I do have to say thanks to all the snow plow drivers in Maryland. They have done such a great job clearing our roads this winter..

Looking up our street, snow covered trees are pretty.

I am preparing this post on Saturday March 7, Daylight savings time has started this weekend and it will help to enjoy the longer daylight hours. During the past week, I stayed warm and cozy in my house, watching my yard birds putting up with this cold winter and the snow storm. This week I've been walking on my treadmill, enjoying my yard birds and I tried a new cookie recipe..courtesy of   Lifeisgood   Hubby and I both loved the cookies..thanks Happyone!

After the latest snow storm, it was still cold but we had pretty blue skies and the full moon..The pine trees always look gorgeous with the snow..And the plow trucks cleared our street down to the blacktop..

The woodies are some of my favorite yard birds to watch..I am lucky to see the Downy Woodpeckers and the Redbellied Woodpeckers visit my feeders.. I hope to get out soon and take more photos other than from my yard.

A backyard scene, my birdhouse, my moose on the loose is covered with snow up to his antlers, behind the birdhouse are two overgrown blueberry bushes.. I am looking forward to some blueberries this summer.

I think this female Cardinal is as tired of winter as I am. We are both looking forward to Spring.. I hope you enjoyed my post. Thank you so much for stopping by for a visit. I appreciate the nice comments..

I use Pic Monkey to create my mosaics, you can use Pic Monkey free or pay for an upgraded version.
I hope you can join in on our fun at  Mosaic Monday and   Our World Tuesday

  2. The scenes around your home are beautiful!! But my heart goes out to you and everyone up north!!! My husband is from Cleveland and his sister is still there and they are at their wits end!!! They are too old to shovel the snow out of the driveway and it has been dreadful for them living in a bedroom community outside of Cleveland. Feel for the animals as well!
BUT- it is lovely!! Hurry up Spring!!

  3. Hi Eileen, yours is a fascinating world. Feeders attracting scores of gorgeous birds.
So much of snow and i can imagine the tough job of clearing the driveway in the morning. Still the pictures look so lovely. I hope spring is on its way, though coming at a snail's pace.
I like the way you express yourself to give us some snapshots of your keen eye and dedication as a photographer.

  11. Hi Eileen,
Beautiful photos - the Cardinal is especially cute!
Your snow & ice covered streets look very cold. They are as always pretty in a picture :)

  14. Lovely views and cute birds!
We should have that kind of beautiful, wintry days as well, but this year it's just raining and sleeting all the time.
Thank you for the beautiful photos and Happy Women's Day!

  15. Your snow rivals what we have here, but I am sure it will all soon be gone - for both of us. The coming week is expected to be quite mild and I am sure that lots of migrants will be making their 2015 début.

  16. What beautiful images! I love the snowy street views, the birds through the snowfall and the snow-laden pines.
Our snow is melting quickly now as the sun shines warmly most days, but I still love to watch snow pictures.

  28. I love them all, and am jealous of your sharp cardinal pics.

Woodpeckers (and their fellow travelers...the nutchatches, tufted titmice, and chickadees) are my favorite yardbirds, too.

  31. Great snow pictures... As you know, we've had a rough winter here --with more ICE than I've ever seen in my life. I love snow--but not ICE... I'll be glad when Spring gets here.

Love watching the birds this time of year especially --although I love the year 'round... Great pic's.

    Hugs,
    Betsy

  45. Good morning Eileen. I'm sure you must be heading for some milder weather as we are. Lots of people in Ontario are petitioning to do away with changing the clocks back and forth since it was an energy saving practice brought out during WWI.
I'm looking forward to these milder days, it will assure us that spring is really coming:-)
Thanks for linking to Mosaic Monday.

  53. So interesting, this weather! We are having temperatures that we normally don't see until late May if we are lucky, that is. So very different from our daffodils and blooming trees is your snow covered area!

    ReplyDelete
  54. Eileen it seems you are becoming used to the snow since it is becoming a regular item....we both need a thaw as do the birds. It is lovely there though!

  55. What beautiful shots. But BRRRRRR

  59. Oh wow Eileen, all that snow. We did see hardly any snow this winter and I am not really sorry about it. I love those lovely cardinals, that pretty red color.
    Have a nice week.

  60. Lovely snowy captures and the birds do look so cold -- they're all "fluffed" out!! Such a wonderful look at your chilly world, Eileen!! Thanks as always for sharing the beauty! Hope you have a great week!!

    ReplyDelete
  61. Such beautiful snowy scenes but I wouldn't want to have to clear the drive with all that snow.

    ReplyDelete
  62. Beautiful photos of the snow but I am sure it would be more comfortable watching it from behind your windows. I love the beautiful coloring of the Cardinals. Have a great week.

    ReplyDelete
  63. Your pine trees are beautiful under their blanket of snow. We didn't have a pretty snow like that this year -- too much ice. I agree with Mrs. Cardinal about enough of winter already!

    ReplyDelete
  64. That's the most beautiful driveway ever...but probably the most difficult to drive through sine it needs lots of snow clearing up. Picture of birds are very inspiring.

    ReplyDelete
  65. Magnificent photography! Beautiful wintery scenes and love our feathered friends.

    Happy Week to you,

I remember when I was young, we had piled up snow (not much, enjoying level) but we rarely have that. I DO wish your spring is coming and bring you warmth. The sweet cardinal in the last picture seems complaining the coldness p:-)
